A welterweight contest between Chechnya’s Adlan Amagov (12-2-1) and American T.J. Waldburger (16-7) has been added to UFC 166: Velasquez vs Dos Santos 3.
Set to compete at 170lbs for the first time, Amagov, made his UFC debut at UFC on Fuel TV in Stockholm Sweden, defeating Chris Spang in a one-sided unanimous decision, having made his final Strikeforce appearance on the Rousey vs Kaufman card, knocking out Keith Berry in 48-seconds. ‘Borz’ noticeably battled to a draw against current Bellator light-heavyweight champion Attila Vegh in 2010, and was last defeated by ‘Ruthless’ Robbie Lawlor in January, 2012.
A 6-fight UFC veteran, 25-year-old Waldburger most recently claimed his second Submission of the Night bonus, defeating Nick Cantone with a triangle choke at the TUF 16 Finale in December, 2012.
