Bellator 148 from Fresno, California, culminated in a flash knockout for Paul “Semtex” Daley, who continued his path towards a grudge match with Josh Koscheck.
The show took place Friday, Jan. 29 from the Save Mart Center and saw Daley finish Andy Urich with much ease, through a super uppercut from the Brit.
Urich tried to grapple Daley against the cage early on, but the Nottingham based man was resilient to Urich’s advances. Not long after, Daley showed why he is still dubbed as one of the most dangerous knockout artists in the world, with a sweet uppercut sending Urich crashing to the canvas for a walk-away KO.
Afterwards, Daley taunted potential future opponent Koscheck to get into the cage – calling for the rematch almost six years in the making.
In the co-main event, a rematch from Bellator 140, this time ended with an undisputed winner. Paul Bradley finished Chris Honeycutt in under a minute.
A quick turnaround for Patricky Freire saw no issue for the Brazilian, who put on a striking clinic against Ryan Couture. A looping left hook saw Couture drop lifelessly, with Pitbull picking up the walkoff knockout.
Elsewhere, highly touted heavyweight Tony Johnson continued his rise to the top of the division with a third round finish of Raphael Butler.
