It has been a worrying 24-or-so hours for Bellator MMA fighter Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos, who was believed to have suffered a depressed skull fracture at the hands of Michael Page at Bellator 158.
38-year-old Santos lost in the second round of his fight against Page at the O2 Arena after the Brit landed a flush jumping knee. It was revealed to MMA PLUS by a member of the medical team that Cyborg had been rushed to hospital and his injury was believed to be a depressed skull fracture.

At around midnight it was claimed to MMA PLUS that due to the severity of the situation, Cyborg was already undergoing surgery on his skull, however it has since been clarified by his ex-wife, fellow MMA fighter Cris Cyborg (Cristiane Justino) that due to complications of swelling, Santos was unable to have surgery in London last night.
