It has been confirmed today that Irish phenom James Gallagher will go head-to-head with Jeremiah Labiano on November 10, 2017.

The fight will serve as the main event of Bellator’s return to the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland and will see Gallagher (7-0) look to continue an impressive start to a professional MMA career which has seen the man nicknamed “The Strabanimal” finish six of his seven opponents.

In his last appearance, the 20-year old treated fans at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York to a ruthless display which saw the Strabane born fighter score a 1st round submission win over Chinzo Machida.

Speaking ahead of the bout, the SBG Ireland trained fighter had the following to say about his upcoming opponent. “Welcome to the real Jimmy show. It will be a first for the fans here to have a Bellator event of this magnitude in Ireland and it’s the first time that my opponent will ever be strangled, so I’m glad it’s in front of my people.

‘It’s the first phase of building the Jimmy empire, and I’m still only 20.”

Labiano (11-5) will be making his fourth appearance for Bellator on November 10 and will be looking to record his third win under the promotional banner and his 12th victory overall.

Hailing from Hayward, California, “The Kid” will hope to add to his impressive resume that includes a trio of highlight-reel knockouts. In his last outing, the 30-year-old claimed the first world title of his career when he defeated Stephen Cervantes via unanimous decision to claim the Conquer Fighting Championships’ featherweight title.

Now the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt will look to enter enemy territory and upstage Gallagher in front his hometown fans in Dublin’s 3Arena.
