Linton Vassell thinks he is the rightful number one contender for the Bellator light-heavyweight title after claiming the biggest feather in his cap to date at Bellator 179 on May 19.
In the Bellator 179 co-main event, Vassell put on a masterful performance to beat the former Bellator light-heavyweight champion Liam McGeary in the third round at the SSE Arena Wembley.
An outstanding showcase from Vassell will hopefully earn him the next title shot after champion Phil Davis and Ryan Bader face off in New York on June 24.
