The UFC has confirmed Quinn Mulhern (18-3) has been forced to withdraw from facing Ryan Couture (pictured) at UFC 164, due to a fractured hand.

The Ultimate Fighter 15 finalist Al Iaquinta (5-2-1) is to fill the void at 155lbs. The New Yorker himself was forced to withdraw from facing Joe Proctor back at UFC 159, also due to injury.

Well known for being the son of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture, a degree of anticipation is often linked to Strikeforce veteran Ryan Couture (6-2). The American was straight in at the deep end for his UFC debut, taking on top British lightweight Ross Pearson back in April, at UFC on Fuel TV in Stockholm, Sweden. Following a second round TKO loss, Couture will be keen to solidify his presence, and bounce back to make a name for himself in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
