Women’s featherweight champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino has been forced to pull out of her Invicta 10 fight on December 10th.
Cyborg who was scheduled to make her bantamweight debut has been forced to pullout after rupturing the anterior talofibular ligament in her left ankle. It is currently not known at this time how long Cris Cyborg will be out for.
As a result of Justino’s removal from the card a main event fight between atomweight champion “The Karate Hottie,” Michelle Waterson (12-3) and Herica Tiburcio (8-2) has been moved up the card.
Brazil’s Tiburcio, will be making her Invicta debut has been on a good run of late racking up 3 wins in a row defeating Kinberly Tanaka Novaes, Chayen Aline Gaspar and Aline Sattelmayer resulting in 22-year old bring granted a shot at the champion.
Waterson, will be making her second defense of her atomweight title against Tiburcio having defeated Jessica Penne to claim the title at Invicta 5, before successfully defending her title when she stopped Yasuko Tamada at Invicta 8 in September.
