BAMMA have released an X-ray of World Welterweight Champion Eddy Ellis’ screwed jaw, after it was broken at the hands of ‘Judo’ Jim Wallhead during their fight of the night title encounter at BAMMA 14.
The American defeated Wallhead by split-decision over a 3-round contest. The result has been highly debated ever since, however, despite suffering the jaw fracture in round-one, Ellis came out more intense with a new found confidence, at times taunting Wallhead in front of a hostile crowd as blood poured from his mouth.
