KSW have today announced a history making event which will take place in 2017. The top european promotion will hold its first ever stadium show which will take place on Saturday, May 27th at the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, Poland.

The home stadium which is home to the Polish national football team also plays host to various music concerts and sporting events. On May 27th, for the first time in Polish mixed martial arts history fighters will be given the opportunity to compete in front of 60 thousand spectators.

KSW has been one of the pioneers of European MMA over the last ten years and have repeatedly sold out the biggest indoor arenas in Poland, including 17-thousand seater TAURON Arena in Kraków, the 15-thousand seater Atlas Arena in Łódź and the 13-thousand ERGO Arena in Gdańsk. But with the promotion popularity continuing to grow the decision was made to schedule the stadium event in 2017.

This event is scheduled to be headlined by some of KSW’s biggest stars which include middleweight champion Mamed Khalidov and the former five-time World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski. Also, the newly-crowned KSW heavyweight champion Fernando Rodrigues Jr will defend his title for the first time, while Olympic wrestling bronze medalist Damian Janikowski will make his long-awaited MMA debut.

It is not yet known who else will feature on this card but keep it locked to MMA Plus for all your KSW fight announcements.
