Folks we have a scrap and an entraining few months ahead of us. New UFC Bantemweight Champ Cody Garbrandt (11-0) will coach opposite and then defend his title against former teammate TJ Dillashaw (14-3).
The fight will go down after the pair feature on the 25th season of The Ultimate Fighter titled “Redemption” as opposing coaches is rumoured to feature a cast of “all-stars” fighters including UFC veterans and former contestants on previous editions of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
Garbrandt won the title last month at UFC 207 with a dominating performance over the seemingly unbeatable champion Dominick Cruz (22-2). Dillashaw cemented his #1 contender stop with a fluid and dominating performance over John Lineker (29-8) at the same event.
Dillashaw will be competing for the title for the first time since he lost a razor close split decision against Dominick Cruz at UFC Fight Night 81 in Boston this time last year.
The verbal warfare has already been started by Garbrandt. There is surely more to come, but this makes for an entraining start.
