A list of six familiar faces have been removed from the roster on UFC.com, having likely been cut from the promotion due to recent losses.

Light heavyweight – Vinny Magalhaes (10-7,1NC, 1-4 UFC)

Heavyweight – Dave Herman (21-6, 1-4 UFC)

Middleweight – Bristol Marunde (12-9, 0-2 UFC)

Middleweight – Roger Gracie (6-2, 0-1 UFC)

Light heavyweight – Ednaldo Oliveira (13-2-1,1NC, 0-2 UFC)

Lightweight – John Maguire (18-6, 2-3 UFC)

A former OMMAC and UCMMA welterweight champion, Britain’s John Maguire (pictured) defeated Justin Edwards and DaMarques Johnson upon joining the UFC; claiming a Submission of the Night bonus in the process, before losing consecutive unanimous decisions to John Hathaway, Matt Riddle, and Mitch Clarke.

BJJ and Submission wrestling world champion Vinny Magalhaes made his UFC debut at 2008’s Ultimate Fighter Season 8 final, losing via TKO to Ryan Bader. A second UFC loss to Elliot Marshall saw the 29-year-old leave the promotion for while, before returning in 2012 with a submission victory over Igor Pokrajac, only to face another two losses at the hands of Phil Davis and most recently Anthony Perosh.

Perhaps the most surprising name to be released, Gracie Jiu Jitsu royalty Roger Gracie made just one UFC appearance following a promising run in Strikeforce with just a single loss to ‘King Mo’ Lawal. A 12-time BJJ/ADCC gold medallist, Gracie faced Tim Kennedy at UFC 162, losing a unanimous decision having done little to oppose the more rounded fighter.
