During today’s Bellator 170 conference call, Tito Ortiz was not shy in telling the listening media that he feels Chael Sonnen cannot stand the fact that his name doesn’t compare to his and that young fighters look to him as an inspiration.

The Bellator 170 media call on also featured Bellator President Scott Coker, Ortiz’s opponent Chael Sonnen and co-headliners Paul Daley and Brennan Ward.

“The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” was in good form throughout the call and said he had been training harder than he did in the lead-up to his 2006 fight with Ken Shamrock and also stated Sonnen was “literally going to s**t himself” with he gets on top of him.

Despite more insults coming his way including the threat that he would be “drowning in his own blood”, “The Bad Guy” shrugged them off stating that Ortiz was “all out of bullets” and preferred to talk more about the promotion and his future within it.

Sonnen would discuss a possible fight with PRIDE legend Wanderlei Silva and says “the next time I see him, I will be fighting him.”

Scott Coker would interject and confirm that Silva is indeed signed to Bellator and that they are looking at a possible Summer date for his comeback after his recent injury ruled him out of last months Rizin openweight tournament.

The 39-year-old also see’s the possibility of getting a chance at a title and preferably is looking to challenge in the Light-Heavyweight division and wants to win regardless of who he’s matched with.

Also on the call but kept on the periphery by the main eventers, Paul Daley and Brennen Ward both promise an explosive co-main event with both fighters extremely respectful of the power each of them possess.

“I don’t hope we live up to the hype,” said Ward. “I know we will and I believe people will remember this show for a long time”
