Speaking as part of a recent feature with The 420 Games, retired UFC veteran Kyle Kingsbury spoke out regarding the positive benefits of responsible Cannabis use and how ‘many’ fighters enjoy it as a natural, medicinal aid, as opposed to artificial prescription drugs.

“In the subject of pain management, when you compare what pharmaceutical companies push on people to what Mother Nature has created; there’s really no comparison.” the 33-year-old stated. “How many people die of overdose from these every year, there are no overdose deaths with Marijuana.

“Being retired, I can certainly come out and say there’s many more of us using Cannabis as a means to heal and as a means for all the positive benefits that Cannabis can offer.”

Kingsbury stepped away from MMA at an early age but on his own terms following a unanimous decision loss to Patrick Cummins in 2014. ‘Kingsbu’ tallied a record of 11-6-(1) and enjoyed two Fight of the Night bonuses under the UFC banner.

Established by Jim McAlpine, The 420 Games areĀ a series of events aiming to destigmatize responsible Cannabis use.
