Just three weeks after the biggest win of his MMA career Michael Bisping is already scheduled for competition. This time in a grappling only match versus former UFC superstar Chael Sonnen.

The three round submission match between the current and former UFC middleweight contenders takes place on March 20th and is being staged by UR Fight in Phoenix.

Bisping was a bloody mess as he left the cage in London following his five-round war with Anderson Silva on February 27 and subsequently received two lengthy medical suspensions.

However, due to the fact that grappling matches are not regulated by the Arizona Boxing and MMA Commission the Englishman has been cleared to compete.

“The Count” and Sonnen met once before in a 2012 UFC title eliminator. On that night the American narrowly earned a decision victory over Bisping and went on to twice fight for the middleweight title.

The somewhat alluring grappling matchup is accompanied by an utterly bizarre lineup of fights to complete the card.

Veterans of the sport Tank Abbott and Dan Severn, whose ages combine for 107 years, will fight each other under MMA rules.

If that doesn’t tickle your fancy then how about 47-year-old Roy Jones Jr going toe-to-toe with Canada’s #44 ranked welterweight Vyron Phillips?

If things weren’t weird enough then Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle will face off in a professional wrestling bout.

The average age of the card? 43.

UR Fight’s inaugural event, which will be called by Jim Ross and Sean Wheelock, goes down on March 20 from Phoenix’s Celebrity Theatre and will be streamed via online pay-per-view.
