BAMMA have confirmed the acquisition of British knockout specialist Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley (33-12), with the welterweight having signed a 3-fight deal with the UK based promotion, exclusive over a 12-month period.

“I’m extremely happy to sign with a premier European promotion,” Daley said in a statement provided to MMAFighting.com. “BAMMA provides exciting match-ups for hardcore fans, with a TV production that appeals to mainstream viewers. I’m aiming to bring my own brand of fight entertainment into households around the world the only way I, Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley, know how … knockout victories.”

BAMMA managing director Ashely Bothwell also expalined, “We are delighted to have signed Paul to a multi-fight deal with BAMMA, Paul is an exceptional athlete who has built a huge fan base worldwide due to his electrifying style of fighting. All of his previous fights on BAMMA have contained Paul’s trademark excitement and energy and we look forward to more of the same. We know how much Paul brings to a promotions fight roster and this multi-fight deal shows the mutual respect that we hold each other in.”

Having recently been released from Bellator MMA due to legal complications, Daley went on to campaign for a UFC return, a campaign of which received only a lukewarm reception from UFC president Dana White. However, ‘Semtex’ is currently primed to compete in Russia, on Legend MMA’s November card headlined by Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ taking on Alexander Emelianenko for a second time.

With BAMMA 13 set for next month, Daley is expected hit the card of BAMMA 14, however a date is yet to be announced.

Daley most recently completed a 4-fight win streak in July, competing at Cage Warriors 57 where ‘Semtex’ dominated Poland’s Lukasz Chlewicki with a crippling Muay Thai assault in the main event.
