Rizin Fighting Federation reveals the return of Brazilian BJJ world champion, Gabi Garcia, who will compete against famous Japanese pro wrestler Shinobu Kandori, in Saitama Super Arena on December 29.

This is the second time Rizin have tried to schedule this bout after Kandori suffered an injury in April and was forced to withdraw.

Of course, she was replaced by Yumiko Hotta at the Yokohama Arena, who lost to Garcia by TKO.

After two no-contests; against Megumi Yabushita in Shootboxing promotion and Russian Boxer, Oksana Gagloeva, Garcia has the opportunity to claim the fifth win in her MMA career.

Gomi signs a deal and faces Yachi in debut

Former PRIDE lightweight champion and UFC fighter, Takanori Gomi is back fighting in Japan.

After losing to South Korean, Dong Hyun Kim, last September in his final bout for the UFC, Gomi is looking for redemption against a new rising star, Yusuke Yachi.

Yachi holds a fourth win streak after demolishing Satoru Kitaoka as well as former UFC fighter, Daron Cruickshank by highlight reel knockout. With some momentum behind him, he is looking for the biggest win in his career against Gomi on December 31.

Rizin also made announcements for two other bouts, including former Pancrase fighter Mitsuhisa Sunabe against Yamato Fujita in a kickboxing match.

This fight is scheduled to be part of 4-man kickboxing tournament on New Year’s Eve, with the participation of Tenshin Nasukawa and another fighter not yet revealed.
