The co-main event features top light-heavyweight contenders Lyoto ‘The Dragon’ Machida vs ‘Mr Wonderful’ Phil Davis. A former UFC champion at 205lbs, Machida (19-3) enters the bout as a perennial top contender in the division, having most recently defeat MMA icon Dan Henderson via split division at UFC 157. In contrast, the no.8 ranked Davis (11-1, 1NC) continues to progress and evolve into a rounded mixed martial artists, and the former NCAA Division 1 wrestler will be eager to push into the upper group of title shot hopefuls.
