What is likely to be the biggest fight in UFC history, Weidman vs Silva II could see the UFC hit Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas, despite still being a long way off.

Initial speculation suggested the much anticipated rematch would come on the next Super Bowl weekend, at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. However, according to NYPost.com, UFC president Dana White feels that a card of such magnitude should stand alone.

According to reports, White aims to speak with Silva today, with the former middleweight champion having yet again performed an abrupt U-turn, contradicting his original statement. Silva now appears set on reclaiming the 185lb title.

Furthermore, the much anticipated rematch, of which Silva opens up as the favourite, could potentially be squeezed into 2013, however the UFC’s remaining schedule makes 2014 more likely.

The potential event capacity remains unclear, Cowboys Stadium packs a maximum standing capacity in excess of 105,000, however the capacity has been reduced for combat sport in the past, with Manny Pacquiao vs Joshua Clottey drawing an attendance of 50,000 in 2010.
