UFC Middleweight champion Michael Bisping has revealed that he will make the first defence of his title against Dan Henderson at UFC 204 with the fight will taking place in Bispings hometown of Manchester, England on Saturday, October 8th.
Bisping who shocked the world when he defeated former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold on just 17-days’ notice at UFC 199 confirmed that the event was taking place in Manchester during his appearance on SiriusXM radio show, “The Countdown” yesterday. The announcement of the fight means Bisping finally gets the chance at avenge his brutal UFC 100 highlight reel KO defeat at the hands of 45-year-old Henderson.
MMA’s renascence man Henderson earned a shot at UFC gold after he scored a phenomenal KO win over Hector Lombard on the same card that saw the Brash Brit being crowned champion and a win over Bisping would surely be the perfect way to end his stella career.
