Michael Bisping 2

On November 8 the anticipated middleweight grudge match between Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold will finally be settled.

As their rivalry grows more personal with each face-to-face encounter, Bisping gave some insight into how the feud developed while attending the SENI International Combat Sports Show.

Bisping (25-6) and Rockhold (12-2) are set to face off in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Sydney, Australia on Nov. 8. As Britain’s no.1 mixed martial artist, 35-year-old Bisping aims to continue his pursuit of a middleweight title opportunity having most recently destroyed Cung Le in clinical fashion on Aug. 23 in Macau, China, and victory over Rockhold would propel ‘The Count’ back into the title hunt.

Similarly, Rockhold is also aiming to establish himself as title contender for the 185lb crown. The American suffered just the second defeat of his career against current no.1 contender Vitor Belfort last year in May. Since then, the former Strikeforce champion has bounced back with two consecutive victories by finishing both Costas Philippou and Tim Boetsch in the first round.
