This Saturday, UFC will finally make their return to the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan for the first time since 2014 for this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 117. With its heavy appeal amongst the Japanese fans, the promotion has set the debut of former GLORY Light Heavyweight Champion Gokhan Saki against Brazilian brawler Henrique Da Silva.

With plans to upset the fan favourite in Japan this weekend, Da Silva respects Saki’s history in kickboxing but wants to test himself at UFC Fight Night 117.

“I really want to standup and exchange shots against Saki. He is a legend of the sport of kickboxing but at the same time, my team was working a lot with a striking strategy against him.

I will put that in the fight, using pressure as I look for a knockout. For sure that fight won’t go past the first round. I will come forward against him and will see who wins. Can be him or me. But I’m here to deliver a fight that the fans want to see, that’s for sure.” ended Da Silva.
