The scheduled flyweight clash between Neil “2 Tap” Seery and Ian “Uncle Creepy” McCall has been called off.

The bout was set to take place at UFC 208 on February 11 but was cancelled after Ireland’s Seery (16-12) was forced to pull-out after the unfortunate passing of his mother-in-law.

“I pulled out of my fight in two weeks due to losing my mother in law today sorry to everyone who bought tickets but family comes first,” Seery wrote on his Facebook.

The fight was set to be “2 Tap’s” mixed martial arts swansong but after today sad news it is not clear whether he will commit to a future fight.

McCall (13-5) has not competed since the end of 2015, but it is not for the want of trying as this is the second time a fight between the American and Seery has been called off.

The pair were originally scheduled to meet at UFC Fight Night 99 but on that occasion, McCall (13-5) withdrew through illness.
