Nieky Holzken has challenged British star Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley to a fight at Bellator: DYNAMITE on September 19, taking place at SAP Center in San Jose, California.

One of the best kickboxers in the world, Holzken faces Raymond Daniels for the vacant GLORY Welterweight title at GLORY 23: Las Vegas on Friday, August 7. However, the Dutch fighter has already set his sights on Daley for his next encounter.

“I saw Paul Daley has a spot on the Bellator: DYNAMITE show in September. I will first fight in Vegas, August 7 for the GLORY belt, after I am finished with Daniels I will stay to fight Paul Daley in the GLORY/Bellator show if GLORY/Bellator wants.”

He added: “I am a fan of Mayweather, but in the shape that I am now, even I knock him out.”

‘The Natural’ Holzken, is currently undefeated in his last seven bouts, and a second win over Daniels, as well as capturing the -77kg belt could further his stake as kickboxing’s pound-for-pound number one.

In 2014, Nottingham based Daley went 6-0, including a TKO over second ranked GLORY WW Alexander Stetsurenko.

Meanwhile, Daley is coming off a second round TKO over Dennis Olson at Bellator 140, and will most likely face newly crowned Welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov in his next MMA bout. This is despite a potential grudge match against Josh Koshcek being touted.

Holzken and Daley both have highly contrasting styles inside the ring. The Dutchman is known for his superb technical ability, mixed with vicious ‘dirty boxing’.

However, Daley is more known for his ‘Semtex’ like finishes. During his six kickboxing bouts in 2014, the former UFC fighter finished five of them emphatically, mainly through the use of his devastating left hand, which has helped the Brit to many wins throughout his career.

A Holzken vs. Daley match-up at Bellator: DYNAMITE definitely has striking fans salivating at the mouth, with both men having the ability to put on a fight of the year if they collide in San Jose.
