The much rumoured lightweight fight between Reza Madadi and Joseph Duffy has this morning been made official for UFC Fight Night 107 in March.

The announcement was made via the promotions twitter account and will see Madadi (14-4) look to record back-to-back wins for the first time since his octagon return.

In his last outing the fighter who trains out of the AllStars Training Centre in Stockholm, Sweden bounced back from a disappointing unanimous decision loss to Norman Parke at UFC Fight Night 76 to score a 3rd round TKO win over Yan Cabral at UFC Fight Night 87 last May.

Now “Mad Dog” will look to record back-to-back wins for the first time since his return to the octagon when he faces his Irish opponent.

Duffy (15-2) will also be looking to record successive wins for the first time since his 4-fight win streak was snapped by Dustin Poirier at UFC 195 in January 2016.

Since the set back the Donegal born fighter bounced back in impressive fashion when he needed just 0:29 seconds of the opening round to submit Mitch Clarke at UFC Fight Night 90 last July.

A win for either fighter could thrust them into the to-15 of UFC’s Lightweight rankings.

UFC London will take place in The O2 Arena in London, England on March 18 so stay tuned to MMA Plus for all the latest news, gossip and announcements surrounding the event.
