One-half of the headline act at UFC Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ own Stefan Struve is sure of his credentials, calling himself the toughest opponent Alexander Volkov has ever faced.

Struve and Volkov will clash in the heavyweight main event at  UFC Fight Night 115, which takes place at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam on Saturday, September 2, 2017.

Volkov, 28, has amassed two wins out of two inside the Octagon, but there’s no doubt that his contest against Struve will mark a significant increase in competition for the Russian.

Having fought in Bellator MMA and M-1 previously, Volkov is well-traveled but has seemed to fall short against the bigger heavyweight names such as Vitaly Minakov and Cheick Kongo

Home fighter Struve has definitely earned his spot at the top of the bill, having fought 18 times in the UFC since 2009. Interestingly, three of these fighters have held the UFC heavyweight title, including current champion Stipe Miocic

The “Skyscraper” discussed his upcoming challenge to the media (MMADNA.NL) during UFC Rotterdam media day.
