Taylor Lapilus vs. Ulka Sasaki

London, UK – With just over five weeks to go until UFC® makes its highly anticipated return to Germany, with UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: JEDRZEJCZYK VS. PENNE, the organisation has confirmed another exciting match up that will feature on the fight card.

France’s Taylor Lapilus will take on Japan’s Ulka Sasaki in an exciting three round bantamweight match up.

Coming into the fight on the back of an impressive win over Rocky Lee at UFC FIGHT NIGHT: GONZAGA vs. CRO CROP 2 in April, Lapilus now holds a professional record of 9-1-0. His opponent, Sasaki, meanwhile is the more experienced fighter, with a record of 18-2-0. The Japanese submission specialist will be looking to bounce back from a loss against Leandro Issa in December of last year, as he prepares to step inside the Octagon on June 20.

Lapilus said: “I am more motivated than ever for this fight. I am confident in my physical and mental preparation. The answer remains in the heart of the fight.”

The bout is the latest in a long line of exciting match ups confirmed for UFC® FIGHT NIGHT:  JEDRZEJCZYK VS. PENNE, which will take place in the German capital on Saturday, June 20.

Set to take place at the o2 World, Berlin, the event will be headlined by a title fight between current women’s strawweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk (9-0-0) and the No.3 ranked Jessica Penne (12-3-0). This will be the first UFC title fight ever to take place in Europe, outside of the UK, and the first ever women’s title fight in Europe.
