A new champion was crowned in the early hours of Sunday morning as UFC 181 went down at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event welterweight champion Johny Hendricks made the first defence of his title against the man who he defeated to claim the title “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler. In the co-main event Anthony Pettis defended his lightweight title against Gilbert Melendez.
