The UFC has officially announced their return to Asia, with the promotion set to host an event in Singapore for the first time since January 2014.

Their first visit to Singapore was a UFC Fight Night event, which saw Tarec Saffiedine defeat Hyun Gyu Lim by unanimous decision at the Marina Bay Sands

This time, the event will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Saturday, June 17, as announced by the promotion on Thursday. No fights have yet to be confirmed.

UFC’s event in Singapore will be their first visit to Asia since November 2015. That event took place in Seoul, South Korea at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena and was headlined by then-UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson against Jorge Masvidal. Henderson won the fight by split decision.

An event was set for October 2016 in Pasay, Philippines, but it was cancelled.
