Popular amateur star Charlie Boy Howard will finally make his professional MMA debut in September after officially being added to the BAMMA London card, the promotion announced this morning.

BAMMA London, also known as BAMMA 31, is set to take place on Friday, September 15 at the SSE Wembley Arena in London, England and will feature a welterweight title showdown between Nathan Jones and Alex Lahore in the headlining slot.

Having went 13-3 in his amateur career, Howard has built a strong following around the UK regionals with his fan pleasing style and 12 of his wins coming by way of stoppage. Also known for his stellar grappling and BJJ game, the talented prospect has finished eight of his 13 wins by submission. His rabid fanbase, affectionately known as the ‘CBH Army’, will no doubt follow him into his pro career and will be out in force at Wembley Arena in September.

“I’ve worked hard to get to this point. I always wanted to make my pro debut at BAMMA,” said Howard to the BAMMA newsletter.

“The biggest MMA promotion in Europe and what better place to do it but at Wembley? Nobody wants this like I do. It doesn’t matter who it is, I am going to run through them all the way to the top! You can’t prepare for what’s coming!”

The Diaz Brothers fan works on a high cardio training regime just like Nick and Nate however the similarities don’t end there. Just as his heroes are famous for, there are clips of Howard, who is part of the UK traveller community, taking part in bare knuckle boxing fights on YouTube.
