Nathan Jones vs Oskar Somerfeld BAMMA 19

Top Europran promotion BAMMA have this evening added another exciting welterweight bout between Nathan Jones and Oskar Somerfeld to their BAMMA 19 card which takes place on Saturday 28th March at the Blackpool Winter Gardens.

“Mr Bag & Tag” Nathan Jones (7-4) has been building up a head of steam since his last appearance at BAMMA, and finds himself on a 3 fight win streak. Whilst his first two outings in BAMMA were unsuccessful, he is planning to change all that at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, when he brings his newly invigorated style back to BAMMA. And he can’t wait for the match up against Somerfeld:

“I am excited to be back on BAMMA. I am ready to display my skill set and represent in a BAG and TAG fashion! My opponent is tough and game.. I wouldn’t have it any other way. 2015 is that season..”

Undefeated Polish born Oskar Somerfeld hits BAMMA with a record of 4-0. All his previous bouts were fought at Middlewight, but Somerfeld drops to Welterweight to take on Nathan Jones.

A wrestler since he was 10 years old, Oskar won the ADCC nation championship at the age of 19. Moving to England a couple of years ago, he began training at Old School Fight Club in Gainsborough. His trainer & father is a multi-time Polish Karate champion and former number two ranked Taekwondo in Europe. Only once has he been outside of the first round and all his finishes have come by way of submission. Oskar had the following words on his bout with Jones:

“To fight on a BAMMA promotion has been my dream.I will train hard for Mr Jones before I tag him and bag him”
