He is now undoubtedly Cage Warriors’ top flyweight prospect, Sam Creasey believes a rematch against Shaj Haque would be a legitimate option, as he aims to avenge his only loss.

The return of UK MMA veteran Paul Marin marked a tough test for young Creasey and it came as no surprise early on in their fight at Cage Warriors 86 when Marin began to tag him and impose his will on the fight.

However, “The Hobbit” showed exactly why he is such a revered name on the UK MMA scene, coming back from Marin’s onslaught to drastically turn the fight on its head.

As soon as Creasey grabbed his opponent in the clinch the tides inevitably changed, as he hurt the Romanian with nasty uppercuts before finishing the fight with a clinical right hand.

With a huge scalp to add to his record, he now finds himself in prime position above the rest of the UK’s flyweights.

The only issue for Creasey is a lack of challenges at 125-pounds but he did agree that a rematch against Shaj Haque — his only career loss from last November — would be a legitimate option if Cage Warriors decided to build a flyweight roster and create a championship title.
