MACTO Championships, the UK’s hottest new MMA promotion, are proud to announce the exciting heavyweight contest of Michael ‘Mikey Tiger’ Piszczek vs. Dante ‘The Bull’ Hawkins, added to the stacked card of MACTO Championships’ inaugural event on June 27 at the Arena: MK in Milton Keynes.
The Tiger clashes with the Bull in this highly charged encounter between two determined heavyweights looking to make a statement.
Originally from Poznań, Poland, 27-year-old Michael ‘Mikey Tiger’ Piszczek has been based in the UK for the last 10 years, currently fighting out of Southend-on-Sea. With a diverse background and a blue belt in Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga and Nunchaku, the 6-foot-4-inch contender holds a 2-2 record in professional MMA after going 6-2 at semi pro.
Piszczek stated: “I’m counting down the days. In a few days I’ll fly out to Poland and start training. It will be six days a week, twice a day. I have to go out prepared 200% because my rival is tough and both of us want to do well and look good. If he thinks he’s going to knock me out he’s going to have to fight hard.”
In contrast, Dante ‘The Bull’ Hawkins makes his professional debut. Fighting out of Tottenham, London, and representing Elite MMA in Leighton Buzzard. Dante works with respected trainers James Pullan & Don Charles for MMA and boxing respectively. He makes the transition having a 1-0 semi pro MMA record and a 1-0 boxing record; with an eagerness to bulldoze ‘The Tiger’ in what he hopes to be an emphatic pro debut.
MACTO Championships’ debut showcase will be headlined by British UFC veteran Nick Osipczak making his eagerly anticipated return to MMA competition, and fearsome knockout artists Alex Montagnani and David Round will collide in the co-main event.
