Controversial pro wrestler Yoshiko Hirano (1-0) made her MMA debut against newcomer Chun Sun-Yoo (0-2) and it was every bit as thrilling as expected.

Yoshiko besmirched her legacy as a pro wrestler in 2015, when she legitimately injured opponent Act Yasukawa in a match for the Stardom promotion. The champion at the time went off script and brutalised Yasukawa, fracturing her cheek, nasal and orbital bones, which eventually led to her retirement.

Now fighting for South Korean Promotion, ROAD Fighting Championship, Hirano’s unpolished brawling contrasted with the much taller Chun’s technique, but very quickly it didn’t matter. Yoshiko landed a punch that toppled Chun unconscious in just over two minutes.

In the main event of the 36th edition of ROAD FC, former UFC fighter, Japanese middleweight Riki Fukuda (24-8) got a decision win against Nae Chul Kim (6-4).
