Bola Omoyele scored his 6th consecutive first round stoppage at Cage Warriors 56 with a TKO victory coming at 3.21 of the first round. The TUF Smashes veteran could be looking at a return to the big time with a win in his next fight.

After his Cage Warriors debut victory Omoyele took to the microphone to say “Cage Warriors is the best in Europe. Exactly what I said I was going to do was what I proved today. That’s why they brought me here. I want a belt. Anyone who’s going to take me to that belt, show me the path.”

There are 2 fights that would make a lot of sense and be a lot of fun under the Cage Warriors banner for the www.fightstoremma.com and Revgear sponsored fighter in possibly their strongest division, which features UFC veterans and top rising stars.

Firstly there is one of the top European prospects and Cage Warriors champion Cathal Pendred the 25 year old Irishman is undefeated in 8 fights and has been hotly tipped to be on his way to the UFC in the near future. Training alongside Conor McGregor at SBG Ireland Pendred was last seen steam rolling UFC Veteran Che Mills at Cage Warriors 55. Many expected the win to get the Boston born Pendred on the UFC on Fox Sports 1 Card which takes place in his birthplace, but it wasn’t meant to be, meaning Cage Warriors could set up a fantastic fight between two big Welterweights who are well rounded and have a lot of power. The winner of a fight between the two would almost certainly see the winner head to the UFC.

The other fight that would make a lot of sense would be a fight against Paul Daley. Semtex is infamous around the world for his after the bell punch against Josh Koscheck that would see him banished from the UFC; the other thing Paul Daley is known for is punching people ridiculously hard. Of his 32 wins nearly 75% of them have come by the way of TKO or KO (his 2 submission wins are both due to strikes and would take his TKO/KO% up to 78%). Perhaps the best example of Daley’s huge KO power was his fight against iron jawed Scott Smith, who made a career of absorbing punishment. Daley turned his lights out with his left hook leaving Smith lying face down looking as if a sniper had taken him out from the rafters.

Although Daley has no chance of getting back to the UFC due to his UFC 113 post fight antics a fight with Omoyele would be a fantastic fight between two fighters who love to bang it out for early finishes. Both of the fighters have huge power and hunt for the finish from the start. A win for Daley against Lukasz Chlewicki on July 20th Cage Warriors 57 will certainly give the promotion a nice problem on who gets who at the top of their Welterweight division. Any combination of the three fighters should produce an excellent fight with two of the best European Welterweights outside the UFC and the winner could easily claim to be the best WW in Europe which would definitely interest the UFC
