Could undefeated UK welterweight Walter Gahadza (14-0) be set to join the ever growing ranks of the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA)? Speculation continues to develop suggesting that ‘The Sniper’ has signed a multi-fight deal with the top European promotion.

Rumors first started circulating this past Wednesday (September 15th) when Gahadza, who is currently ranked at No. 16 in the UK rankings, posted the following cryptic message and picture on his personal Facebook page, and had this message for fans: “Signing fight contract today will be announced soon. #Tsg101 #Sniper”.

Upon posting this message friends and fans alike began speculating that the 26-year-old had been snapped up by a number of top promotions both domestically and overseas, but it may have been fellow welterweight Paul “Semtex” Daley who has inadvertently given the game away during his post fight interview at last weekend’s BAMMA 16 event where he defeated Brazilian slugger Marinho da Rocha via 2nd round TKO. If you skip to the 14:37 of the video below, when thanking his team Daley can clearly be heard thanking the man nicknamed “The Sniper” and hailing him as the “future of the BAMMA British welterweight division”, which has lead to some speculating that the undefeated prospect has in fact signed with BAMMA.

The rumored signing of Gahadza could be the latest aquisition during a busy few weeks for BAMMA with the recent news that Jeremy Petley, Shay Walsh, Marc Diakiese, and Zi Shah had joined the ranks.

The Team Sure Grip fighter was scheduled to face No. 6 ranked UK welterweight Ryan “Big Baby” Scope, at Made4TheCage 15 on November 29th, but MMA Plus has this evening learned that with Scope suffering his latest injury setback and Gahadza signing with a “major organization” this eagerly anticipated domestic scrap could now take place under the BAMMA umbrella.

MMA Plus will bring you news on this story as it develops.
