GLORY 25

The headline bout for GLORY 25 Milan on November 6 has been announced, GLORY Lightweight World Champion Robin van Roosmalen will defend his title against GLORY 22 Contender Tournament winner Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong at The PalaIper in Monza, Italy.

RvR (34-6-0, 19 KO) has won his past three GLORY fights, including a Unanimous Decision over Andy Ristie at GLORY 20 Dubai in April.

“I’m going to pressure [Sitthichai]. He doesn’t like being put under pressure and pushed backwards,” said van Roosmalen. “It will be a great fight and I look forward to keeping hold of this belt for a long time.”

Sitthichai (99-27-5, 26 KO) made his GLORY debut this past June at GLORY 22 Lille, where he beat both Davit Kiria and Josh Jauncey in the same night to claim the number one contender spot.

“It is very difficult for an orthodox stance fighter to withstand the the damage from my powerful left kicks,” said Sitthichai. “[Van Roosmalen] is tough and has good heart; he will be harder to hurt than my past opponents. He is also dangerous, a heavy puncher.”

Already announced for GLORY 25, Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan faces 22-year-old Canadian Josh Jauncey as well as a one-night, four-man Welterweight Contender Tournament.
