Cage Warriors returns this weekend for Cage Warriors 85 which is set to take place at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth, England tomorrow night where a new middleweight champion will be crowned.
England’s Jason Radcliffe faces off against Poland’s Oskar Piechota in the main event of the evening as both men will look to secure the vacant middleweight title.
In the co-main event, former Royal Marine Martin Stapelton will look to secure a victory on National Armed Forces Day when he steps inside the cage to fight fellow lightweight Donovan Desmae.
The Bournemouth card will also play host to the hugely anticipated debut of Northern Irish standout and IMAAF amateur world champion Leah McCourt, McCourt will meet Rizlen Zouak in a featherweight match-up.
The middleweight championship is on the line in the main event as Jason Radcliffe will hope to extend his unbeaten run to seven wins on the bounce; in his recent displays under the Contenders Norwich fight banner Radcliffe notched back to back victories over Pasquale Coluccio and then Wilfried Edmund, which resulted in him being crowned the Norfolk based promotions middleweight champion last December.
Piechota is yet to taste defeat in his professional MMA career currently holding a record of 8-0-1. His last two bouts have come under the Polish promotion Spartan Fight and during his time there the Pole has earned a second-round submission win over Nikos Sokolis and a first-round TKO win over Sergio Souza.
In the co- main event Stapleton will look to get back to winning ways following his decision loss to Anthony Dizy at Cage Warriors 80. Prior to this defeat the former BAMMA lightweight champion was riding a five-fight win streak stretching back to September 2014.
Desmae will also hope to put himself back in the win column after a decision loss to Khusein Askhabov at WWFC: Cage Encounter 5 saw his eight-fight win streak snapped. Despite his most recent bout being a featherweight contest the Belgian will move back up to the 155 division to face Stapleton.
