BAMMA has announced 3 more preliminary fights to BAMMA 15, which takes place at the Copper Box in London’s Olympic Park on 5th April. Tickets are on sale from £25 at http://www.kililive.com/artists/Bamma

ALEX MONTAGNANI VS. NATHAN JONES [WELTERWEIGHT BOUT]

Alex Montagnani brings a professional record of 5-1-1 that includes 4 first round finishes and none finished past the 2nd round. 4 of his conquests have come via TKO (punches) and one via KO (knees). Montagnani was brought up in martial arts from the age of 4, by a father who held a 3rd Dan in Judo and Aikido, and 12 years Amateur boxing experience. Alex trained in Judo to the age of 10, but in his teens was more attracted by football, rugby and athletics. Rediscovering Judo at the age of 17, he attained his black belt within one year before moving into Brazilian Jiu jitsu. Now fighting out of New Wave Academy in South London, the 25 year old is a former Fury Welterweight champion.

Nathan Jones AKA Mr.Bag&Tag (pictured) steps into the BAMMA cage with a record of 4-1 and all victories via submission to chokes in the 1st round Fighting out of the Combat Company in Richmond, the 26 old has been training in MMA since 2010 with no prior experience in combat sports. Having overcome a number of personal challenges, including a bilateral pulmonary embolism in 2009, Jones has been forced to hone mental strength and to reshape his life to make health a priority. Within three years of discovering MMA, Jones has earned the accolades, Bronze Medallist in Ground Control U91Kg, WKA Amateur British MMA Champion U88Kg and Ring Masters Finalist U85kg. Jones also gained the Fury Welterweight title after Montagnani vacated it in 2013, which leaves a question hanging set to be answered with this fight.

NATHANIEL WOOD VS. ED ARTHUR [BANTAMWEIGHT BOUT]

24 year old Ed Arthur presents a professional record of 2-0-0 and remained undefeated through the Amateur ranks. Around half of his fights have been finished in the 1st round. Arthur trains out of Hemel Martial Arts with Denniston Sutherland as a training partner. Arthur first impressed BAMMA fans at BAMMA 14 when he defeated Ben Rees with a Doctor Stoppage from Ground n Pound in Round 1.

Opponent, Nathaniel ‘Prospect’ Wood, has achieved a professional record so far of 4-0. The 20 year old has finished all his fights before the 3rd round via TKO, Submission and KO. Woods fights out of Nova Forca and also trains at Lions Pride MMA under Jimi Manuwa.

*Daniel Crawford was announced for this fight earlier today via BAMMA social media but suffered injury post-announcement, to be replaced since by Nathaniel Wood.
