The Ultimate Fighting Championship have today announced the addition of Andy Ogle (9-2) vs Cole Miller (19-8) to the UFC Fight Night 30 card in Manchester, headlined by Michael Bisping vs Mark Munoz.
1-1 in the UFC, Tyneside’s Andy ‘The Little Axe’ Ogle (pictured) most recently defeated Josh Grispi via unanimous decision this past February in London, at UFC on Fuel TV: Barao vs McDonald. Ogle was expected to face Ireland’s Conor McGregor on August 17, however was forced to withdraw due to an injury.
In contrast, it’s been a much shorter break for Miller, who was last in action at the same card Ogle withdrew from on Aug 17. Manvel Gamburyan defeated Miller in what was a highly controversial decision at UFC Fight Night: Sonnen vs Shogun, in Boston, Massachusetts. Miller’s career opened with a 9-2 featherweight run through 2005-2006, before moving up to lightweight where he’s enjoyed the majority of his UFC days from 2006-2011. Miller returned to featherweight at UFC on FX in March, 2012, however was defeated by Steven Siler, and has suffered a 1-3 record since moving back to 145lbs.
The featherweights will square off on October 26 at the newly named Phones 4U Arena.
