Flyweight: Rany Saadeh vs Mahmood Besharate

Round 1: Both fighters start energetic, each man throwing leg kicks but missing until Besharate shoots with a takedown that gets reversed. Saadeh looks to control Besharate on the ground until Mark Woodard restarts them on their feet. Saadeh finishes the round as the more aggressive striker moving in and out with confidence. 

Round 2: Saadeh continues to strike comfortably. Another failed takedown from Besharate sees the German controlling things on the ground once again. From inside his opponents guard Saadeh throws more punches this time round, however the action is stood up once again. Besharate looks for a third takedown but is again countered and forced onto his back.

Round 3: Besharate throws a pair of strong head kicks, forcing Saadeh to look for his first takedown attempt, he lands it and happily holds down his opponent and stays relaxed while calmly looking for transitions.

Result: Rany Saadeh defeats Mahmood Besharate by unanimous decision. An out of character performance from Besharate. 

Welterweight: Ryan Scope vs Ali Arish

Round 1: Arish starts very calmly, Scope tests the waters with a leg kick but Arish stays reserved. Scope slaps Arish with a lead leg head-kick and switches stance back and forth. Arish looks to rush Scope against the cage for a single leg but the 21-year-old stays upright against the fence with Arish looking to force him down. Scope breaks free and stuffs another takedown before Arish completes the attempt.   

Round 2: Scope looks to attack but fails to land effective with Arish defending and slowing the pace. Scope appears to damage his own leg with a leg kick and Arish rushes in for the takedown. The veteran maintains control of Scope on the ground against the fence. Scope works back to his feet and seperates, he finally lands effective shots forcing Arish to swing aggressively in response for the first time. Scope scores a big takedown to close the second round.

Round 3: Arish comes out much less composed and Scope takes control; landing a series of knees along with a pair of takedowns. Striking resumes and Scope goes on the attack, tagging Arish and forcing him back against the fence.

Result: After a tough start Ryan Scope rallied to victory over Ali Arish with a unanimous decision (29-28×3), and stays undefeated.

Harry McLeman vs Andy De-Vent – BAMMA Lonsdale British Middleweight Championship

Round 1: Both men meet in the center and tie up, McLeman assumes control and drags De-Vent to the ground. McLeman pulls for a guillotine attempt but is unable to finish the submission and De-Vent stands up. McLeman regains control against the fence, landing punches and a clean knee to the face of his opponent. McLeman again looks to tee off, routinely landing a knee at the end of combinations. The round ends on the ground with McLeman having clearly established himself as the aggressor.

Round 2: McLeman takes the back of his opponent but can’t secure a rear-naked-choke. He contines to work but De-Vent manages to turn and begins to throw from inside McLeman’s guard. De-Vent pulls for a guillotine of his own but McLeman quickly slips his head out. McLeman maintains top position but looks to be catching a breather.

Round 3: McLeman ducks a punch and looks for a takedown however De-Vent reverses. McLeman throws himself for another takedown but shoots from too far away. De-Vent holds onto his opponent, resting his weight on McLeman’s back. Both men seem tired on the ground and Mark Woodard brings them to their feet for the last 20-seconds where Mcleman makes a final push before the end.

Result: Harry McLeman edges the unanimous decision (29-28×3) against Andy De-Vent in a close fight.  

Featherweight: Tom DuQuesnoy vs Teddy Violet – vacant BAMMA World Featherweight Championship

Round 1: The two Frenchmen both start aggressively in a fight between two friends. DuQuesnoy transitions wonderfully from his opponent’s guard but both men continue their rapid movements and end up back on the feet. DuQuesnoy regains control with a takedown against the fence and earns full mount by hanging on as Violet stands up in an attempt to escape. Another brief moment on the feet sees both men trade knees but QuQuesnoy again pulls his opponent to the canvas and stays one step ahead.

Round 2: DuQuesnoy comes out and lands an immediate punch combination. Violet finds a takedown but DuQuesnoy is far superior and reverses to full mount before securing a triangle choke submission.

Result: Tom DuQuesnoy earns the world title and defeats Teddy Violet with a second round triangle choke submission

Lightweight: Colin Fletcher vs Tony Hervey

Round 1: Hervey meets Fletcher with some tremendous boxing from the opening, the American settles down having made his presence known and moves in and out with Fletcher throwing kicks from the center of the cage. Fletcher backs up Hervey against the cage where he unleashes a flurry. Hervey is the quicker striker but ‘Freakshow’ continues to edge him backwards and throw as his opponent’s back touches the fence.

Round 2: The fight stays upright, Hervey continuously switches stance and looks to stay out of range. Hervey lands a left hook that rocks Fletcher in the last 30-seconds. Having briefly chased the finish, Hervey backed off and remained patient.

Round 3: Hervey comes out for the final round, calm yet confident and with nice footwork, he cuts Fletcher’s forehead with a bolo punch. Hervey continues to stay out of range and control the pace with Fletcher unable to land much more than the odd leg kick, and doesn’t look to step things up as the round plays out.

Result: A debatable split decision goes to Colin Fletcher. 

Welterweight: Wayne Murrie (c) vs Leon Edwards – BAMMA Lonsdale British Welterweight Championship

Round 1: The “UTC” chants start early. Murrie shoots for a takedown and eats what might have been an illegal knee, unnoticed by the referee. Despite, this Murrie impressively powers through to complete the move. Edwards gets to his feet and takes Murrie’s back with both hooks in. Murrie is unable to slide Edwards off of his back, and after a while Edwards works his arm under the chin of his opponent to secure a rear-naked-choke submission.

Result: Leon Edwards takes the title with a first round rear-naked-choke submission. 

Main event – Heavyweight: Oli Thompson vs Gzim Selmani

Round 1: The giant Selmani comes leaping out with a flying knee that hurts Thompson in the oppening seconds. ‘The Albanian Psycho’ follows up by securing a front choke that renders Thompson unconcious.

Result: Gzim Selmani defeats Oli Thompson by technical-submission with a front choke in the opening round. Post-fight; Thompson claims he was still fully concious.
