Long-time Bellator veteran Wilson Reis (16-4) is reportedly set to make his UFC debut against Hugo Viana (7-1) at UFC Fight Night 28, replacing the injured Johnny Bedford. The news of this bantamweight contest was first reported by MMAFighting.com.

A BJJ black belt and former EltieXC champion, Reis has spent the vast majority of his career so far as a Bellator contender, but most recently appeared at Cage Warriors 50 in December 2012, defeating Owen Roddy with a rear naked choke.

A participant in the original Ultimate Fighter: Brazil series, Viana is currently 2-1 in the UFC, and was most recently knocked out by TUF 14 finalist T.J. Dillashaw at UFC on Fox: Henderson vs Melendez. ‘Wolverine’ had previously made a successful first appearance at 135lbs, finishing Reuben Duran at the The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale, ending the bout with a knockout punch in the first round.

UFC Fight Night 28 takes place Sept. 4 at Mineirinho Arena in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, headlined by Ryan Bader vs Glover Teixeira, and Yushin Okami vs Ronaldo Souza in the co-main event.
