The Rumour Mill is once again turning and it looks like former BAMMA title contender Max Nunes is set to sign for Bellator MMA.

Nunes (16-3), a fighter from Stockholm, Sweden, has made the United Kingdom his home for a large part of his MMA career. He fought for both the BAMMA Light-Heavyweight and Middleweight championships between 2013 and 2014.

Training out of the Allstars Training Center in Stockholm; alongside UFC 205lb favourite Alexander Gustafsson, the 27-year-old has professional fight experience in Sweden, UK and Abu Dhabi.

Nunes’s profile has been added to the Bellator website, despite having yet to compete in the promotion.

However, MMA PLUS have followed up the rumour and have confirmed from a source close to the situation that the Swedish fighter is in fact on the verge of signing with Bellator MMA.

We understand that the deal is expected to be made official in the coming weeks and Nunes will likely make his Bellator MMA debut during the promotion’s debut UK show in July.
