Birmingham based gym Fearless MMA have today announced the launch of ‘Prospects MMA’ – a new midlands promotion showcasing amateur fighters.
Fights will be conducted under the unified amateur rules set with the inaugural Prospects Fight Night 1 slated for Sept.6 at Birmingham’s Centennial Center. Organisers are eager to establish the promotion and lead the way for amateur athletes in the Birmingham community.
Prospects MMA matchmaker Tom Breese spoke to MMA Plus, the undefeated welterweight and former BAMMA-Lonsdale British Welterweight Champion explained, “Prospects is a platform for amateur mixed martial artists to showcase their skills. Our aim is to be the main amateur show in the Birmingham area. We are the 2nd biggest city in the country so local talent deserve to have the opportunity to perform on their doorsteps and one that is professionally run with evenly matched contests.”
