It’s amazing what some elite level MMA fighters went through as teenagers which ultimately led them to take up some type of martial arts class. Speaking to FOX Sports Uriah Hall talked about some of the hardships he went through in his teens:

“The bullying just got to a point where it’s like, I gotta wake up tomorrow and look forward to this again? I don’t want to deal with this s**t. I just didn’t want to do it anymore, man.”

“I don’t know how I was gonna do it, but I didn’t want to go to school.”

Hall talked about one incident where he came very close to committing murder.

“I got off the bus and I was about to kill this guy. I was going to get a gun, get a knife and stab this dude.”

These experiences led Hall to taking up karate at Tiger Schulmanns in high school which he credits for turning his life around.
