LEICESTER, UK – Undefeated flyweight Chris Miah (4-0) defends his FIGHT UK title for the first time on 16th November 2013 against Josh Foster (3-1) at The Athena, Leicester. Miah returns to the octagon after a 12-month lay-off due to a knee injury and following his title win against Mark Handley at FIGHT UK 8 in November 2012. Foster earned his shot at the belt also defeating Handley earlier in the year, finishing with a rear naked choke in the second round.

Pariah MMA’s, Chris Miah is looking to make his fifth unanswered win to retain his belt against his toughest opposition to date in Josh Foster. Both accomplished grapplers have gained the majority of their wins on the ground with Miah having recently returned to success in BJJ competitions following his injury.

BST’s, Josh Foster will be looking to continue his resurgence in the division following a KO defeat against talented Dinky Ninja Mark Connor. Foster bounced back to victory in style securing the submission victory at FIGHT UK 9 and earning the title shot against Miah on November 16th in Leicester.

FIGHT UK MMA Matchmaker, Alistair Pettitt had the following to say:

“This fight has key implications for both guys in the UK flyweight rankings. A win for Miah adds credibility to his unbeaten record and the UK flyweights will be anxiously looking over their shoulder, where as a win for Foster will have matchmakers around the UK making some calls I would imagine. Either way, both these guys are so closely matched it makes an intriguing main event where I honestly have no idea how it will pan out! I have a lot of time for both of these guys and massive respect for each of them facing each other at this stage of their career.”
