Contender Promotions have confirmed the huge news that London based kickboxing powerhouse Daniel “The Warrior” Sam has signed with the promotion. His debut has been set for the November 8th at the Eston Sports Academy in Middlesbrough and he will compete for the vacant Contender Promotions Super Heavyweight Championship.
Sam’s opponent has yet to be selected, however he will be determined during the Holland Fightstar Hunt which Contender Promotions will be holding in August 30th.
The Hunt is set up by Contender Promotions president Garry Bell to be hosted at VOS Gym House of Legends and sponsored by Real Fighters Fight Wear.
When speaking with Garry, he said it would be easy to draft in any world champion to fight Daniel Sam, however he wanted to give the chance to an unknown, and developing kickboxer. Contender Promotions is truly the land of opportunity.
With a kickboxing record of 23-11 Sam has fought in some of the top promotions around the world. Most recently at Glory 16 in Denver. Although he has struggled in his last few outings, with losses against Ismael Laazar, Benjamin Adegbuyi and Sergei Kharitonov, capturing the Contender Promotions World title will surely re-invigorate his career.
