Darren ‘Powerhouse’ Towler (pictured) will defend the UCMMA heavyweight crown against Paul ‘The Titan’ Taylor at East London’s Troxy on November 30.
Towler (9-8) returns to UCMMA on a 2-fight slide, having most recently lost to Carl Robinson on July 27 at UCFC 5. Despite the recent lapse, Towler returns to UCMMA as the promotion’s defending champ, having last knocked out Dayman Lake at UCMMA 30 last year in October. All nine of Towler’s career wins have come by way of knockout.
Towler’s determination to get back to winning ways comes with some reluctance, having been called out and now taking on a friend and training partner in Paul Taylor (5-3), who himself is undefeated under the UCMMA banner with three first round knockouts of his own against Marian Rusu, Scott Saward and Carl Kinslow.
