Following a picture-perfect performance at ACB 65, Sunderland’s Andrew Fisher will once again fight for the Russian promotion later this year in Dubai. The former Bellator featherweight took to social media recently and hinted at his return to the cage at November’s ACB 75.

After his dominant win over former UFC contender Nicklas Backstrom, the Team Fish Tank athlete raised more than a few eyebrows and it seems the promotion were amongst many that were left impressed.

ACB 75 will be Fisher’s next port of call in the United Arab Emirates and the featherweight will be hoping to put together consecutive wins under the ACB banner. After mixed fortunes including a loss to Northern Ireland’s Norman Parke at ACB 47, Fisher enjoyed a successful return defeating the highly reputable Swede in Sheffield. Speaking to MMA Plus after the bout, Fisher said he enjoyed the show and fighting for the fast-growing promotion before declaring he wanted an ACB contract.

“Hopefully ACB give me a contract. I wouldn’t be ready for the next Sheffield show as I’ve a holiday booked but any event after that, I’m ready to go”, said Fisher.

“I’m not bothered about the UFC or anything, I don’t care about money. I just want to fight really good people and that’s it. I’ve always fought good people.”

Fisher’s wish was granted back in July when the Sunderland native was offered a four-fight contract just days after his victory over Backstrom and took to social media to express his delight with his new fighting home.

Whilst an opponent has not yet been announced for Fisher, with his eagerness to only fight the best fighters available, fans can be optimistic of a mouth-watering clash to be announced with a reputable opponent.
