KSW have today announced that Polish rapper turned mixed martial artist Popek Monster (2-2, 2 KO) had been added to their landmark KSW Colosseum card.
The eccentric hip hop artist will take on undefeated bodybuilder, Robert Burneika (2-0, 1 KO) and will look earn his first victory inside the KSW cage.
Popek made his long awaited returned to MMA last December at KSW 37 as one half of one of the most watched fights in Polish MMA history when he took on former world strongest man Mariusz Pudzianowski.
Unfortunately for Popek he woud be on the wrong end of a 1st round TKO loss but in the moments following his defeat the 38-year old vowed to come back stronger and win his next fight for the popular Polish promotion.
Lithuanian bodybuilder Burneika is no stranger to such attractions. Back in 2012, the Internet sensation pulled off a stunning upset by stopping celebrity boxer and kickboxer Marcin Najman at MMA Attack event. A year later, he added another victory to his record, beating Dawid Ozdoba by disqualification.
Now Burneika makes a comeback to professional MMA to settle an online war of words that has been brewing between himself and Popek in the KSW cage.
KSW Colosseum takes place on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, Poland.
