It has this evening been announced that October’s UFC 166: Velasquez vs. dos Santos III card will feature a bout pitting two exciting bantamweight’s George Roop (14-9-1) and Francisco Rivera (9-2).
The bout which is scheduled to be aired as part of the facebook prelims features a resurgent Roop who in his last outing defeated former WEC champion Brian Bowles via T.K.O. in round 2 at UFC 160. Roop will look to make it 3 wins on the bounce when he takes on fellow WEC vet Rivera, who himself has been on a rich vain of form and will look to make it 5 wins in a row since his 2010 fight against Roland Delorme was ruled a no-contest a failed drug test.
